Artist Bio

Juliusz Grabianski is a visual artist based in London. His practice investigates the role of technologically-mediated images in creating digital mythologies. In his work, Juliusz reflects on the narratives that we collectively create in order to make sense of the world, and in particular in the role of technology in shaping these myths. He researches how modern-day belief systems, such as astrology, manifestation and other new-age mindfulness techniques replace traditional faith, and the role of symbols and visual language in their rising popularity. The realm of Juliusz’s practice lies within the digital space, and he utilises a variety of software, 3D printing, and machine learning tools to physicalise and archive digital artefacts. Juliusz is a co-founder of Kawaii Agency, a curatorial collective run with Bart Seng Wen Long.
